Summer Day Camps
When: Monday's in June and July 9am-12pm
Healthy Snack Creations: Get ready to roll up your sleeves and explore the wonderful world of nutritious and tasty treats. This camp is all about fostering creativity in the kitchen while prioritizing safety and health.
Nashua Iowa ROCKS: Ready for a scavenger hunt? You will be after colorfully painting rocks! Hide them around the school or take them home to hide around town. This will be an activity you can enjoy all summer!!
Emergency Services Exploration: Get ready to dive into the fast-paced world of EMS, ambulance services, and firefighting. From learning basic first aid techniques to understanding the inner workings of an ambulance, every day promises exciting discoveries and invaluable knowledge.
Campfire Cooking: Hosted by Chickasaw County Conservationist, Matt Crayne. It’s a campfire cooking party at the Campground! Join us as we make yummy treats over a campfire. We will walk from the HWC.
Fossil Hunting: Hosted by Chickasaw County Conservationist, Matt Crayne. Travel back in time to peek into the Earths past at the Rockford Fossil Quarry. Transportation provided.
Archery: Hosted by Chickasaw County Conservationist, Matt Crayne. Learn the basics of shooting a bow and arrow! Be ready to have fun and engage in friendly competition! All equipment will be supplied.
Science Camp: Who says science can’t be fun!?! Get ready to “experiment” with new ideas. Warning**This could get messy, so wear appropriate clothing!
Hiking & Fishing at Twin Ponds: Hosted by Chickasaw County Conservationist, Matt Crayne. Bring your poles and learn how to fish like the pros. Bait will be provided. Please wear tennis shoes and long pants- No flip flops. Transportation provided.
Scholarships are available for families in need.
